Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: February 18, 2026

Short version: ibrahingil.com uses affiliate links. If you open an account through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our rankings or recommendations.

What are affiliate links?

Affiliate links are special tracking URLs that let companies know you came from our website. If you click one of our affiliate links and open an account, we may receive a commission from that company.

This is a standard practice in online publishing and helps us keep this site running and our content free.

Which banks do we have affiliate relationships with?

As of February 2026, we have affiliate relationships with:

  • Wise — We earn a commission if you open an account using our referral link
  • Revolut — We earn a commission if you open an account using our referral link
  • N26 — We earn a commission if you open an account using our referral link

Every affiliate link on this site is clearly marked with rel="sponsored" in the HTML and includes a disclosure notice directly on the bank card.

Does this affect our recommendations?

No. Our rankings are based solely on how easy each bank is to open for migrants without a NIE — not on commission rates.

We rank banks by:

  • Document requirements (verified by testing the actual signup flow)
  • Acceptance rate for migrants without Spanish documentation
  • Speed of account opening
  • Quality of Spanish IBAN (ES vs. other countries)
  • User experience during signup

Commission rates are never a factor in our rankings. In fact, we don't even know what most banks pay until after we've already ranked them.

Why do we use affiliate links?

Running this website costs money:

  • Domain and hosting fees
  • Time spent testing banks (we manually test every signup flow)
  • Regular verification of requirements (banks change their rules constantly)
  • Writing and updating content

Affiliate commissions help cover these costs and allow us to keep all content free. We don't charge users, we don't run ads, and we don't sell your data.

What if a bank doesn't have an affiliate program?

We review banks whether they have affiliate programs or not. If a bank is genuinely better for migrants, we'll recommend it — even if we don't earn anything.

Our goal is to help you open a bank account in Spain, not to maximize commissions.

How do we maintain independence?

  • We test everything ourselves — Every "verified" tag means we actually went through the signup process
  • We update regularly — Requirements are re-checked every 48 hours
  • We're transparent — Every affiliate link is disclosed, both in the HTML and visibly on the page
  • We prioritize your success — A bank that rejects you doesn't help us, even if it pays well

Your trust matters

We take our responsibility seriously. If you ever feel a recommendation was influenced by affiliate relationships rather than genuine quality, please contact us at contact@ibrahingil.com.
