This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

Small pieces of data kept by your browser.

A cookie is a file or value that a site can store in your browser to remember a preference, keep a session open or measure usage. They do not all serve the same purpose.

The site sets a single cookie: pll_language. It is created by the site's language program (Polylang) to remember whether you read in Spanish or English; it lasts one year and stores only the language. There are no third-party cookies and no advertising tools. Visits are counted with Koko Analytics, which runs inside the site itself and sets no cookies; it is explained in Privacy. Also, if you tap ‘like’ on an article, your browser remembers it so it appears marked: it stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.

There is one exception worth understanding: some articles carry paid links to Amazon, marked as such. Following one takes you off this site, and it is Amazon that applies its own cookies, under its own policy, to know the visit came from here. Nothing is set here and nothing is known about what you buy. It is explained in Affiliate disclosure.

The site contains no iframes and no embedded external content. Its images, styles and scripts are served from the site itself. Links to external services do not install cookies on their own.

So there are no third-party cookies and no other duration to declare.

You can control cookies from your browser.

Browsers let you inspect, block or delete cookies from their privacy settings. If you block cookies in future, some features that depend on them may not work the same way.

If you block the language cookie, the site works the same: the language is also in the address of each page (/es/ or /en/).

Inform first, switch on later.

If non-essential cookies are ever introduced, their purpose, who installs them and how long they last will be explained. Whether consent is required before installing them will also be reviewed, and this page will be updated.

What data is processed and with whom is explained in Privacy.

This policy will be updated if the site introduces cookies, measurement or external content in future.
